September 2019 Northern California Fishing Trips

Below is the information about AC Guide Service’s September 2019 Northern California Fishing Trips including where and what bait was used for successful fishing trips.

Whiskeytown Lake – September 20th, 2019

The May Family limited out on Kokanee and this was Peyton’s first Kokanee as he starts his journey in the sport of fishing. We had wonderful success with Brad’s cut plugs and Gulls Custom tackle at 1.3 – 1.5 mph at depths of 55 – 65 feet since the fish were a bit deeper. We switched to Atlas Mike’s Kokanee Glow scent for corn for additional success in our clients catching fish. The fish are starting to kype and think there is about 30 – 40 more days on the lake before the fish that are waiting to spawn are done for this year. We all enjoyed our time on the lake and Peyton’s love for fishing has began!

Whiskeytown Lake – September 24th, 2019

Whiskeytown still kicking out limits for our return clients Sara and Jason, the lake is not done producing fish for clients. We utilized similar bait and technique as we did on our fishing trip on September 20th out on Whiskeytown Lake. Continuing with Brad’s cut plugs and Gulls Custom tackle at 1.3 – 1.5 mph at depths of 55 – 65 feet since the fish were a bit deeper was very successful for this fishing trip as well. The fishing was best in the Whiskey Creek bay area near the 299 bridge. We had a great time out on the water and we look forward to our next trip together!

Whiskeytown Lake – September 28th, 2019

That’s a wrap for AC Guide Service on this lake until next season. We were excited to share it with my long time buddy, Rick and his Father. Our morning started off slow but we kept on grinding and limited out with a excellent grade of Kokanee. The weather was not nice with high winds and white caps all day! Our top producing lures again were the Brad’s cut Plugs in the Dusky pattern along with a Gulls Custom hoochie spinner. Keeping the boat straight and slow enough was a challenge in this wind but we managed well enough to get it done. Top scents were the Kokanee Glow by Atlas Mike’s scents and Ultra tuna&garlic by Smelly Jelly. We always have an awesome time fishing and catching up on old times!
